NAWC is a proud supporter of the Water & Wastewater Leadership Center.
Exceptional leadership is essential for today’s water and wastewater utilities to
thrive. The Leadership Center’s curriculum is designed for current and
up-and-coming water and wastewater utility leaders including CEOs, General
Managers, Senior Managers and upper-level management. The Water & Wastewater Leadership Center prepares utility executives with the management and leadership skills they need to meet the challenges of today’s water quality issues – and customers’ current and future demands with the highest level of service and efficiency. This extensive 11-day residential leadership development program will equip students with the knowledge they need to develop strategic goals that deliver measurable results.
The Leadership Center’s curriculum focuses on:
- Utility business assessment, personal performance evaluation and improvement planning
- Self-awareness and assessment
- Preparation of individual action plans
- Examination of challenges facing public utilities in the future
- Discussions on water and wastewater industry topics
- Leading organizational change

The Water & Wastewater Leadership Center is a joint initiative between the
National Association of Water Companies (NAWC), the American Water Works
Association (AWWA), the Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies (AMWA), the
American Public Works Association (APWA), the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA) and the Water Environment Federation (WEF).
