American Water Oversees Water Recycling System at Nation's Greenest High-Rise
American Water has completed the design, procurement and construction phase at The Visionaire, the fifth in a series of green residential buildings serviced by the company's Applied Water Management Group. Located in Battery Park City, Manhattan, the 33-story, 251-unit tower is now considered to be the greenest high-rise residential condominium in the United States.

Missouri Sues U.S. Government Over Water Diversion
The state of Missouri has challenged the U.S. Department of Interior’s approval of a water supply project that would divert Missouri River water to northwestern North Dakota. Missouri contends that the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers failed to adequately consider the environmental impacts of the project on downstream users and possible alternatives to the proposed diversion.

Pennsylvania Court Denies Reargument In Chloramine Case
The Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania has denied an appellant’s request to reargue her case that the state’s Department of Environmental Protection provided insufficient notice to customers of Pennsylvania-American Water Company’s plans to convert the treatment process at two Harrisburg area plants from chlorine to chloramines. The debate may now move to the state legislature.
