Peter Cook, NAWC’s executive director, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, after a long battle with cancer.

On Peter’s passing NAWC Board President Don Correll said, “During his 13 years as executive director of NAWC, Peter committed himself fully to our Association, its values and membership.

Commissioner Powelson Confirmed for Five-Year Term

Pennsylvania Gov. Edward G. Rendell announced on Wednesday, April 22 that the Senate unanimously confirmed Commissioner Robert F. Powelson to a full five-year term. One day earlier, on Tuesday, April 21, the Senate Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure Committee unanimously reported Gov. Rendell’s nomination of Commissioner Powelson out of committee.

SouthWest Water Company Announces Management Changes

SouthWest Water Company announced that Cheryl Clary, the company’s former chief financial officer, has been named senior vice president of finance. David Stanton has been appointed interim chief financial officer in addition to his role as chief operating officer. Both changes are effective immediately.
