NAWC Concludes Another Successful Annual Conference

(Click on the images to view captions.)

Amid a stunning scenery of canyons and cacti, NAWC hosted its 113th Annual Conference at the Loews Ventana Canyon Hotel in Tucson, Arizona, from Oct. 10 – 13. With over 400 officials, distinguished guests, environmentalists and water professionals representing all aspects of private water service in attendance, the exchange of ideas during the three-day conference focused on water issues, funding needs, and the innovative solutions being employed to address these challenges across the country. The annual conference also provided an opportunity for industry leaders to recognize the good work of fellow colleagues through NAWC’s Annual Management Innovation Awards program, and to challenge the industry to do more as responsible water stewards, learn regulatory as well as public-private partnership best practices, and honor extraordinary members shaping the future of water management by way of active association leadership. In particular, the conference set the stage for the outgoing president of NAWC, Chuck Firlotte, CEO of Aquarion Water, to welcome the newly elected president, Eric Thornburg, a third-generation water professional and president and CEO of Connecticut Water. We want to thank everyone who could join us and invite you to view our picture slide show. Don’t forget to join us for our annual event as NAWC heads to the Hilton La Jolla in Torrey Pines, California, from Oct. 2-5, 2011.
