DHS Announces New Training

The United States Department of Homeland Security Control Systems Security Program will host the 2011 Industrial Control Systems (ICS) Cybersecurity Advanced Training June 6 – 10, 2011 at the Control Systems Analysis Center located in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

This event will provide intensive hands-on training on protecting and securing industrial control systems from cyber attacks, including a Red Team/Blue Team exercise that will be conducted within an actual control systems environment. This exercise provides an opportunity to network and collaborate with other colleagues involved in operating and protecting control systems networks.

Industrial Control Systems Joint Working Group to Host Spring Conference

The Industrial Control Systems Joint Working Group (ICSJWG) 2011 Spring Conference will be held from May 2-5, 2011, in Dallas, Texas. This event will provide control systems stakeholders from industry, government, academia, international, vendor, and research and development communities with an opportunity to network and engage in discussions related to securing control systems.

There will be subgroup working sessions on Monday, May 2nd for subgroup members who would like to participate. The main conference is from May 3-4th with individual and panel presentations related to securing control systems. There will be an optional 8-hour Intermediate Industrial Control Systems Cybersecurity Training (Lecture only) on May 5th. A draft agenda is attached.

Registration for the conference can be found here. Registration will be accepted online until April 25, 2011. After that date, you may register onsite on the day of the conference. Advanced registration, however, is encouraged. Registration for the training can be made onsite the morning of the training.
