2024 Year in Review
2024 NAWC Year In Review FINAL
Ongoing infrastructure challenges for the water and wastewater industry across the United States continued to be top of mind in 2024. From regulatory uncertainty to increasingly stringent environmental regulations and a rapidly aging infrastructure, water and wastewater providers are confronted with ongoing unpredictability.
NAWC and its member companies were at the forefront of these challenges – taking the lead on implementing solutions. NAWC continued with its strong advocacy on behalf of our member companies through federal and state outreach, member support, research and reporting, communications and educational programming.
NAWC members are on the frontlines of balancing safety and reliability with affordability. In every defining moment, there is opportunity. The regulated, private water and wastewater industry has a long history of working ahead of mandates – and 2024 was no different. With a laser focus on priorities such as PFAS, affordability, cybersecurity, reliability through infrastructure investment and a constructive regulatory environment. NAWC members also encourage change in the communities they serve with robust charitable giving, community engagement and support for sustainable water infrastructure investment.
Whether 1895 or 2025, NAWC’s mission remains the same – to support our member companies as they work to protect public health, promote environmental stewardship and deliver safe, reliable water service that is affordable.
NAWC is and will remain a leading resource on the issues impacting the regulated, private water and wastewater industry. The Association will continue to provide opportunities for the sharing of ideas and conversations between our member companies and other stakeholders.
