Medal of Honor Recipient, Retired Navy SEAL Ed Byers to Headline NAWC Water Summit

The National Association of Water Companies (NAWC) is proud to host Medal of Honor recipient and retired Master Chief Navy SEAL Ed Byers as the keynote speaker for the 2025 NAWC Water Summit in Miami.

Powelson, NAWC president and CEO. “His leadership and dedication to service exemplify the values we strive for in the water industry. We believe his insights will be invaluable to our attendees as we address the challenges and opportunities facing our sector.”

Byers is a highly decorated veteran who received the Medal of Honor in 2016 for his heroic actions during a hostage rescue mission in Afghanistan in 2012. His 21 years of service in the Navy included 11 overseas deployments and nine combat tours, earning him numerous awards, including five Bronze Stars with Valor and two Purple Hearts. His bravery and selfless actions have made him an inspiration to many.

Following his distinguished military career, Byers has continued to serve his community and country. He is the CEO and founder of Minerva 6 Group, a government contracting and corporate solutions company. Byers also earned an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, adding to his Bachelor of Science degree in strategic studies and defense analysis from Norwich University.

NAWC’s annual Water Summit will be held September 29 – October 1 in Miami, FL.
